Science Week 2019-2020
We had a wonderful week full of exploration and learning!
A STEM ambassador, who used to attend our school, came to extract DNA with Year 6. Year 5 designed capsules for the MARS Thales project and Year 1 received a personal message from Andy from CBeebies Aquatic Adventures, as well as so many other amazing activities!
We ran a poster competition with 71 entries, an outstanding response, judged by a governor with a science background. The overall winner received 4 tickets to the Royal Observatory!
All classes shared their learning in a whole school worship at the end of the week and it was fantastic to see all that had been discovered.
Most importantly, 2 Science Ambassadors were elected for each class to help oversee science teaching and learning across the school and are now part of the science team.
