As part of Year 2s ‘Dragons, Damsels and Knights’ topic, we were very excited to welcome the author and illustrator M.P. Robertson to our school. This author illustrated our key text from the Autumn term (The Ice Trap) and we studied three books written and illustrated by him in the Spring term (The Egg, The Dragon Snatcher and The Great Dragon Rescue).  It was a unique opportunity for the children to listen to Mark about his writing process and take part in art workshops. There was an opportunity to meet Mark and purchase signed copies of his books at the end of the day. What a highly enjoyable and inspirational day it was!
