The Nursery Environment
Our aim is to provide a nursery in which young children can feel confident, happy, secure and content as they learn through play. We will achieve this by creating an attractive and stimulating environment where members of staff are approachable and welcoming, where parents and their views are valued, where the best possible early years provision will be made available, and where children of all needs and abilities are welcomed and given complete access to the full provision of the nursery.
We have a well-established outside environment that consists of:
All weathered covered area, mud kitchen, sand and gravel pit, water area, raised vegetable and plant area and Acorn corner where children can access mathematical and language and literacy activities.
The children can access tyres and planks of wood for balancing and building. Climbing wall, climbing frame and slide as well as well-loved bikes and cars.
We are able to access a wonderful wildlife area, this includes a classroom and 3 large ponds where the children can explore pond life as well as caring for our resident ducks. This area is totally secured by fencing and locked gates. We are lucky enough to be able to view this from the nursery garden.
As part of our curriculum the children have the opportunity to attend Forest School for a five week period one afternoon a week.
We would be pleased to add your child to our waiting list. Please return a completed application form, with a copy of your child`s birth certificate to:
